SUMMARY OF POSITION

Responsible for performing a variety of duties essential to the function of the Compliance and Security Department and providing general support within the Risk Management Division; duties include, but are not limited to, answering incoming telephone calls, reviewing and forwarding incoming correspondence to appropriate personnel, coordinating meetings for officers, releasing video surveillance to law enforcement, reconciling applicable general ledger accounts, providing support for department and division presentations to the Board of Directors, Management Group, Regional Market Managers', Operations meetings, Compliance Committee, Security Team, New Employee Orientation and Quarterly Managers' meetings, and serving as a back-up for BSA/OFAC reporting requirements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

SECURITY

  1. Performs administrative duties relative to securing cash including, but not limited to, monthly review of cash transport logs, maintaining and requesting service for dual control cash lockers, etc.
  2. Performs administrative duties related to assisting the Security Officer in adherence to the Bank Protection Act including, but not limited to, alarm panel administration, security device testing, updating data in the emergency notification system, robbery response, etc.
  3. Serves as a member of the Security Team for the purposes of recording minutes and completing follow-up items, as requested.
  4. Processes and records restitution payments. Reconciles Fraud and Forgery general ledger account quarterly, reports information to Security Officer.
  5. Processes and records counterfeit note reports for submission to the Secret Service; assists community office personnel with questions related to procedures for counterfeit, contaminated, and/or mutilated currency; recommends updates/additions to procedures to Security Officer.
  6. Performs research online and via other sources (as applicable) for the purposes of obtaining information for cases resulting in losses to the bank.
  7. Researches video surveillance requests for law enforcement and releases photos/videos upon approval of the Security Officer.
  8. Responds to third party requests for information, including subpoenas, search warrants, law enforcement, and various agency requests, garnishments and levies, ensuring they are administered in accordance with the Right to Financial Privacy Act, PA Older Adult Protective Services Act, and Identity Theft prevention requirements.

COMPLIANCE/RISK MANAGEMENT

  1. Serves as a member of the Compliance Committee for the purposes of recording minutes and completes follow-up as requested. Distributes relevant compliance information to designated Compliance Committee members.
  2. Performs research online and via other sources (as applicable) for the purposes of obtaining legal and/or regulatory information.
  3. Tracks Medallion Stamp authorized personnel; reports non-compliance of required training to Risk Management Officer. Maintains and distributes list of users for bank-wide use.
  4. Tracks Notary Public personnel; assists designated candidates in obtaining notary commission. Maintains and distributes list of notaries for bank-wide use.
  5. Performs support for FDIC compliance exam by scheduling meetings with applicable personnel, providing the exam request list and coordinating delivery of the requested information to examiner.
  6. Prepares accounts payable invoices according to established controls. Tracks expenses for purposed of assisting in the budgeting process annually.
  7. Serves as back-up administrator for BSA/AML functions, including, but not limited to, processing currency transaction reports daily, completing customer due diligence reviews, assisting with customer identification documents, and other government reporting requirements.

  1. Is strongly encouraged to participate in various community events in order to increase the bank's visibility and strengthen relationships with the communities we serve;
  2. Keeps up-to-date with bank communication regarding policy changes, new products and initiatives, personnel changes, etc.
  3. Identifies own strengths and developmental areas and sets goals as aligned with supervisor's expectations. Initiates coaching sessions with supervisor to share progress and receive feedback towards goals.
  4. Attends and successfully completes all internal and external training programs per annual training schedules and/or personal development plan.
  5. Follows corporate policy and upholds bank standards in accordance with the bank's Code of Business Ethics and Conduct.
  6. Performs duties in a manner that ensures bank compliance with all applicable state and federal laws.
  7. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

An Associate's Degree with an emphasis in business or business law or paralegal certification is preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Ongoing continuing education required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of two years related work experience should consist of a background in bank operations, general bank regulatory compliance and basic legal concepts, specific to the Bank Protection Act, security and/or fraud/loss prevention experience, intermediate knowledge of all functional activities and business units.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Excellent organizational and time management skills are essential. Intermediate math and typing skills to meet the needs of the position; must possess strong oral and written communication skills; must have the ability to deal tactfully and efficiently with internal and external customers; must be able to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals and technical journals and procedures. Knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point Software are required; must possess the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must possess a valid driver's license
