SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for performing a variety of support and technical duties including but not limited to: assisting with the evaluation and implementation of new bank technology; administering assigned bank applications; providing customer service and PC Support to all levels of bank personnel; taking incoming calls and diagnoses PC problems over the telephone; performing troubleshooting and diagnoses for hardware and software problems; responding to inquiries or requests for information; maintaining appropriate records; and supporting network management as appropriate.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Performs a variety of support and technical duties to assist the Technology Services Officer of which the following are illustrative:
    1. Answers the helpdesk support line and interacts with users to perform first-level system problem determination relating to the operation of mainframe, personal computers, peripheral data processing equipment and problem determination on selected software applications
    2. Administers and support bank applications.
    3. Assists in developing and maintaining standards and procedures as related to the Technology Services Department.
    4. Acquire and maintain knowledge of relevant product offerings, current support policies, and methods of support delivery            
    5. Administers policies, users and groups, in several systems, including Active Directory.
    6. Installs, maintains and supports P.C. software and hardware for office automation in accordance with technical standards as defined by the department
    7. Coordinates specific work tasks with other units or departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
  1. Participates in establishing specific goals for the unit, implement strategies to achieve goals assigned to the unit and insures unit compliance with all operating policies and practices as assigned by the Technology Services Officer.

  1. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate bank personnel.
  1. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her position area, or to requests from customers, other bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

A certificate in Information Sciences is preferred or related field experience.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of two (2) years of experience in related positions normally required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Proficient reading, writing, grammar and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient analytical skills and problem-solving abilities; demonstrated proficiency in interpreting, analyzing and troubleshooting network and PC application problems; knowledge of banking applications; valid driver's license.
