F&M Trust is seeking a Mortgage Lending Closer for our Residential Mortgage Lending Department. This position will report to Chambersburg, PA or another available office location within the Capital Region. A hybrid working arrangement is available following a satisfactory introductory period and successful demonstration of key accountabilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This Closer will have a variety of responsibilities that they work through on an on-going basis. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that mortgage loan documentation complies with state and federal banking regulations. Review pre/post close mortgage loan files with a high degree of accuracy while adhering to bank policies and procedures. At the end of the day, you're fulfilled knowing that you were a key piece in fulfilling dreams of homeownership. Whether you're helping first-time homebuyers, your neighbors, a family on your child's sports team, or another family in your community, you are pivotal in helping them through the, or one of the, biggest purchases in their life.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
- A minimum of three (3) – five (5) years' working knowledge of lending regulations and Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, VA, USDA, PHFA and/or FHA mortgage market guidelines required. Including residential mortgage lending, loan documentation or loan review.
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
- Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task
- Attentive to details
- Strong math skills with high degree of accuracy
- Proficient in Word and Excel and able to learn mortgage software
- Aptitude and desire to learn internal policies and procedures and government loan programs
